[Hamster-dev] Future of Project Hamster

Hello list,

as you are probably are aware of I have offered [1] to take over Project
Hamster in order to move this important piece of free software forward
and provide a more encouraging experience for people wanting to
contribute to the project. After 10 days without any kind of feedback by
neither Tom (owner) nor Markus (maintainer) at all I feel somewhat
disheartened. Today I tried to get in touch with them via mail as well,
so we will see how this goes.
But as this is exactly the kind of missing project lead that I intend to
improve I will have no other option but to consider a friendly fork of
the project in a couple of days if we are ever to achieve an improvement
of this status quo.

In case you did not take note of my proposal I would be grateful if you
could add your 2c to the issue [1]. If push comes to shove and I have to
create a new project I want to make sure there is no misunderstanding
about my friendly intentions and my endorsement of the existing hamster
community to join me in order to "Make Hamster Great Again" (tm).

Have a splendid weekend, Eric.
